About CGR and GrACE

Council for Green Revolution, an environmental action group based at Hyderabad is a registered Public Charitable Society formed with concern and commitment towards protection of environment and promotion of sustainable development.CGR has successfully planted around 20 lakh trees so far as part of its Massive Tree Plantation programme through school students in drought prone, semi-arid districts of the state.

On World Environment Day, the June 5th 2011 CGR has launched Greens Alliance for Conservation of Easternghats (GrACE) at Srisailam aimed to sensitize the concerned and protect the Eastern Ghats hill ranges. GrACE is a platform for collective action of individuals and organizations interested in the conservation of Eastern Ghats, which have physiographic, environmental, socio-economic, spiritual and cultural significance in the peninsular India. The initiative aims to bring different institutions and civil society organizations of the area together to discuss issues, challenges and to work on appropriate action plans for the conservation of Eastern Ghats.

As a part of GrACE, we have successfully organized three regional conventions, which are as follows :
